Good Thursday
2 Timothy 1:12
“For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.”
Let’s say I trust you to hold $1000 for me. We are friends and I have no issues with this arrangement. I know that you will return my money in the future.
However- I can’t entrust my eternal life to you- and that is worth far more than cash. There is only One who I can trust to hold my forever- and that is Jesus.
This is why Paul said that no matter what he might go through- he knows who holds the future. There is no shame in being faithful.
I like the word- “convinced”. No doubt.
No questions. No wondering. No worry.
Are you convinced? You have handed Jesus your very soul. You have handed Him your eternity. If there is still doubt- please pray for strength to believe regardless of the circumstances.
If you are convinced- then stay that way!
